Colossus
Colossus was the first personal project I made after moving to New York City. Created free-hand in ink from a high vantage point overlooking the Empire State Building, the panoramic drawing captures the city’s overwhelming scale and density through thousands of individual architectural details—skyscrapers, rooftops, windows and water towers—built line by line across multiple joined pages. The work marked a turning point in my practice and went on to receive widespread international press, amplified by a time-lapse of the drawing process that was shared widely online.
